Meet the athletes
To take your mind off the big race, we´ll give you the opportunity to learn what some of the other athletes expects from the race, and maybe get some inside hints and tips on triathlon in general.
Thursday August 4th at 4 pm we will host a session where you can meet a trio of seasoned triathletes in the athletics hall (same building as the Norseman registration)
The panel:
- Susanne Buckenlei (DE) is 2 X Norseman winner. She runs her own coaching business training some of the best international professional triathletes as well as normal age groupers.
- Tom Remman (NO) won Norseman in 2009 and came in second in 2010. He is team captain for Team Nakamura Triathlon and he hosts training camps both in Norway and abroad.
- Tim DeBoom (US) is a two time winner (2001 & 2002) of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii. He also holds a 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the same competition. Tim is a Norseman debutant.
The session will be hosted by journalist Jamie Mackenzie. Jamie is on an eternal quest to qualify for the Boston marathon. Along the way he does stuff like running the Kilimanjaro Marathon one day just to ascend the mountain the next.
