New design!
Expect new design at the finisher tee“s and banners this year! We have worked with the Norwegian designers Maria Tovslid and Jostein Sandersen, and they have really put in a lot of great effort in this project!
Tell us about yourselves. What is your background in design?
We are both originally from Telemark, Norway. Together we have two BA degrees, one in Product Design and one in Graphic Design. We work and have worked and studied within various fields of art and design since 2001. Having studied abroad, we now live and work in Oslo.
What does the new logo express? It looks like Norseman is carved in stone?
Carved in stone is a good connotation. This is a redesign based on the original logo. We wanted to keep the core of the original design, but to push it a bit further and to emphasise Norseman as a tough, yet fun and energetic race.
There are many athletes out there craving for our famous black finisher tee. Tell us about the process behind the design.
The illustration of the mountain directed the shape of the letters for the logo. As stated above, we wanted to roughen it up a bit, but at the same time make it elegant. Bringing all the different elements onto a shirt such as time place and activity to tell a story of what Norseman actually is. This story is what make people aspire to get hands on one. We like the effect of a wearable trophy.
A question you can not escape from: When will you participate in Norseman?
Norseman is only for us to admire.
We really want to thank Maria and Jostein for their great work. And at the same time give credit to Guy Huste who made their platform with his original design.
