Spectating at Norseman

Norseman is one of the most breathtaking endurance races in the world — not just for the athletes, but also for those cheering them on. While we welcome and appreciate the support along the course, safety remains our top priority.
Please note that all roads throughout the Norseman course are open to regular traffic. For this reason, we do not encourage following athletes by car. Doing so creates unsafe conditions for participants, support teams, and other road users.
Instead, we recommend heading to one (or more!) of these excellent spectator spots:
T1 in Eidfjord: It`s great to watch the athletes when they enter the swim exit and Transition zone in Eidfjord.
Mount Imingfjell: The last climb on the bike leg. On the steepest part, the athletes climb the last vertical meters on the bike. We recommend this spot at Mount Imingfjell.
T2 in Austbygde: A great transition area where athletes switch from bike to run. It’s a high-energy zone and a natural gathering point.
25 km Dale (Zombie Hill base): This marks the start of the infamous climb up Mount Gausta. Spectators here witness athletes dig deep for the final push.
Mount Gausta (Finish line): The summit of Gaustatoppen offers one of the most emotional and rewarding moments of the race — when black T-shirt athletes complete their journey. It’s a long hike, but the view and atmosphere are unforgettable.
We thank all spectators for their support, which ensures a safe and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
