Registration for Norseman Xtreme Triathlon & XTRI World Championships 2026

A total of 337 start slots will be allocated for the 2026 edition of Norseman Xtreme Triathlon.
Based on past experience, this will leave us with around 255 athletes on the start line in Eidfjord on race day.

• Expected number of athletes on race day: 255

• Registration for 2026: Open from Friday September 26, at 15:00 CEST to Thursday, October 2, at 23:59 CEST. We will publish a video from the draw on Wednesday October 8, at 20:00 CEST. On Thursday October 9 all athletes entering the ballot will receive the result of the ballot by email.

  The ballot is open to all athletes and one ticket costs 10 Euro.
  
  From the 2016 race, we started giving extra chances for athletes not successful in the draw. Adding an extra chance for every consecutive unsuccessful year in the ballot.
  
  First-year applicants receive one chance in the draw.
  Second year, 2 chances
  Third year, 3 chances
  Yes, exactly…. and so on
  
  The extra chances can be tracked on the athlete profile on www.race.se.
  If awarded a starting slot, or if not signing up consecutive years, the counter will be reset.

• Race Manual for 2026: Will be published on Friday, September 19.

Ballot
125 start slots
Maximum 25% Norwegian athletes, minimum 15% women. Norseman wants to increase female participation and ensuring broad international representation. Our ballot guarantees a minimum of 15% women and a maximum of 25% Norwegian athletes, helping to maintain global diversity.

X-Points (XTRI World Tour)
100 start slots
Allocated to active X-Points members. To apply with X-Points, simply click the box when entering the ballot. Read more about X-Points.

XTRI World Tour Qualification
66 start slots
1st & 2nd place women and men at XTRI full-distance events. Norseman top 5 men & women.
