Welcome to the Norseman Junior Camp — where the next generation of extreme triathletes begins their journey.
Join us in the heart of Gausta for a weekend filled with training, adventure, learning, and inspiration. This three-day training camp is designed for athletes aged 15–25 passionate about triathlon and eager to develop their skills in a supportive and iconic setting. Led by experienced coaches and Norseman veterans, the camp will focus on technique, endurance, and the spirit of triathlon — all with the Norseman course as our backdrop.
Whether you're dreaming of racing Norseman one day or want to grow as an athlete, this is where it starts.

COACHES
Frode Viberg Jermstad
Sports Director Norwegian Triathlon Federation
Frode holds a degree in Elite Sports Coaching from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. In addition, he has studied the first year in medicine and an education in marketing. He is a certified personal trainer with coaching qualifications in several sports and has worked for some of Norway’s largest fitness centers. For several years, he has coached cross-country skiers, runners, cyclists, and triathletes and has extensive experience balancing elite sports with family life. Frode is a former member of the Norwegian national team in cross-country skiing and Nordic combined, and today, he is one of Norway’s top age-group athletes in cycling and triathlon. He serves as Sports Director at the Norwegian Triathlon Federation. Frode is also on Team Surpas Norseman 2025 and will jump of the ferry Saturday, August 2, 2025.
Gro Hege Viberg Jermstad
Coach and co-founder Blanktjern Coaching
Gro Hege is one of the co-founders of Blanktjern Coaching. She is an experienced coach and is also an active age-group athlete. Gro Hege is part of Team Zalaris in 2025 and will jump off the ferry Saturday, August 2, 2025. Beside training for Norseman, Gro Hege is also raising funds for cancer.

What do you need to bring
Equipment for swimming indoors (including swimming goggles and swim cap)
Road bike or TT/triathlon bike in good technical condition.
Apparel for biking in sun, rain and everything in between.. The temperature in May can range from +5 Celsius to +18 Celsius.
Bike helmet, cycling shoes and accessories (spare tubes, basic tools, water bottles and nutrition)
Running gear (apparel, shoes and nutrition)
Important
All participants must have valid travel and accident insurance.
Bikes must be checked and serviced before arrival.

Price: 8625 NOK per person for single participants. If a family of 2 parents and 2 juniors want to attend the camp, the total price will be 15 960 NOK. All mixed combinations of parents/adults/juniors/kids can be arranged with Gausta.
