In connection with the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon, the parking area at Stavsro will be closed on Saturday, 1 August, 13:00–23:00. The reason is that the support cars accompanying each Norseman athlete in the race need to park at Stavsro. Athletes arrive throughout the afternoon, between 17:00 and 21:00, much of the parking area will be reserved for Norseman.

This is a pilot project in 2026, and we kindly ask everyone to be patient and solution-oriented. For hikers and spectators heading to the finish at Gaustatoppen: We encourage all hikers and spectators to park at Gaustablikk Fjellresort on Saturday, 1 August and use the free shuttle bus. Follow the signs to the alternative parking at Gaustablikk.

Three minibuses run a continuous shuttle service on the loop Gaustablikk – Gaustabanen – Stavsro – Gaustablikk from 10:00 until 20:00. The last shuttle bus from Stavsro and Gaustabanen direction towards Gaustablikk leaves 20:00 CEST.

RV7 closed on saturday, august 1, from 06:30 - 08:30 at maurset

From 06:30 to 08:30 on August 1, RV7 (westbound) will be closed at Maurset. 250 support vehicles and 250 Norseman athletes will drive and bike from Eidfjord and due to road work at Garen and that the athletes must bike through the Måbu Tunnel in Måbø Valley the road will be closed for two hourse in the opposite direction of the race.

We encourage all drivers and vehicles in the area to respect this and follow the instructions from police and personell on site.
